Year 3/4: 11+ Foundation Course
A little progress every day adds up to big results – The foundation course developed for year 3/4 students is based on this principle.
We are mindful of the fact that the children are very young and would rather be playfully active than study, making it important to get them curious and excited to learn.
The foundation course is designed to ensure that our year 3/4 students develop a great interest in the concepts being taught and feel empowered, gaining confidence. Though the pace of this particular course is more relaxed, we ensure that each child makes consistent progress.
During each lesson, we cover the planned topic by combining conventional instruction-based learning, kinesthetic learning, mental maths, and verbal quizzes. Our teachers have a strong focus on encouraging the students to articulate their thoughts and on active participation. Students will also be provided with ‘just the right amount’ of homework for daily practice.
Should we determine that a student requires additional support, further individual assistance will be provided during regular lessons (though occasionally, some one-to-one sessions may be necessary).
By the end of year 3/4, we expect our students to be confident with the fundamentals, and comfortable with a disciplined ‘daily learning’ approach.
Throughout the course, parents will receive weekly progress reports and fortnightly one-to-one feedback.
The Concentration Booster
The last 10 minutes of each lesson are dedicated toward activities that increase concentration levels for our students. The purpose of these activities is to improve the attention span and focus of our students, in order to help them stay active and engaged.

Study Material:
All instructional materials, homework assignments, and regular class tests are included. Extra summer revision sheets can be separately purchased.
Performance Feedback:
Weekly progress report, fortnightly one-to-one feedback session with parents
Additional Support:
– One-to-one lessons are available upon request, at an additional price.
– Summer Revision Worksheets: short 15 minute worksheets with answers; these act as a helpful refresher on all year 3/4 content.
– Comprehensive support and guidance are offered throughout the secondary school application process.

£30 per week, paid monthly in advance (includes one Maths and one English session per week)
Additional One-to-One Support Sessions:
£20/hour (usual price: £30/hour)
We offer a 10% referral discount (for 2 months) on any fee mentioned above.

Cancellation policy:
Parents can opt out of the course at any time by giving one week’s notice. A refund will be issued for any remaining lessons, where applicable.
